Susan Elizabeth Bryant Perryman, 66, of Conway, Arkansas died on January 20, 2010 at Conway Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 24 in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Funeral Home, 1751 Dave Ward Drive, Conway, Arkansas. The service will be conducted by Pastor Duncan Cox of Crossroads Community Church. Time to visit with the family will be provided following the service. Interment will follow at a later date in Chapel Hill, Tennessee.
Surviving are her two sons, Peter Perryman of Knoxville, Tennessee and Mark Perryman of Conway, one grandson, Tyler Alexander of Conway, a brother, Peter (JoAnn) Bryant of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry M. Bryant and Mary S. Bryant, her stepmother, Ruby Spain Bryant, her daughter Kate Elizabeth Perryman and her former husband, Hughes Perryman.
Sue was born October 10, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Mary Bryant. She graduated from Ela-Vernon High School in Lake Zurich, Illinois and Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a degree in education. She taught in Illinois and Florida. She married Hughes Perryman on June 24, 1967 in Lake Bluff, Illinois. They lived in Florida, Illinois, Texas and Tennessee before moving to Arkansas. She was currently the Due Process Specialist at Milestones of the Faulkner County Day School where she had been employed for 13 years.
Sue loved reading, family vacations and spending time with her grandson. She was admired and loved by all who knew her and will be missed by her many friends and family.
